The Wellness Program takes a holistic approach to health education by promoting, and providing wellness resources to faculty, staff and students in our campus community. By focusing on the 8 dimesions of wellness, we are able to provide diverse education, resources, and programing to help our community achieve a healthier, and more sustainable lifestyle. 

We encourage students and staff to take advantage of our wellness education offerings, including health fairs,workshops, publications and online information. For more information, see below.

Recreation Movement - Group Fitness Library

We recently partnered with Rec Movement in order to provide our campus community with free access to digital fitness classes (live and archived library). To join, follow the steps below. 

  1. Visit
  2. Click “Create an Account” and then "Create"
  3. Follow sign up instructions (Note: You must use your DCCC email address)
  4. Search for classes and enjoy! For "live" classes, browse "upcoming events." For past classes, view "pre-recorded events"

*BEFORE participating in any group exercise class, please be sure to consult with your personal physician to ensure you are ready for physical activity*

Wellness Warrior Series

Delaware County Wellness, Athletics & Recreation is excited to introduce our first annual Wellness Warrior Semester Series. This series consists of 8 seminars, workshops, or events, each highlighting a different dimension of wellness. By completing the Wellness Warrior Certification, students will be able to attain valuable information and resources that will facilitate achieving a healthier lifestyle.

New Year, New Me: Effective Goal Setting
Thursday, January 28, 11 a.m. - Registration Required

Join us for a discussion on effective goal setting. Participants will gain a better understanding about techniques and strategies for setting goals in order to maximize personal and academic success. 


February 10, at Noon: Food for a Better Mood

Join us for the first of our monthly Lunch n’ Learn workshops with Jena Wood, registered dietician from ShopRite of West Chester. In this session, participants will gain a better understanding about the connection between healthy eating and your overall well-being, including how to boost your mood! Register

March 10, at Noon: Dinner on a Dime

Join us for our monthly Lunch n’ Learn workshops with Jena Wood, registered dietician from ShopRite of West Chester. In this session, participants will learn how to shop on a budget and prepare meals with few ingredients.

April 14, Noon: Simple Snacking

Join us for our monthly Lunch n’ Learn workshops with Jena Wood, registered dietician from ShopRite of West Chester. In this session, participants will enjoy an interactive cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy and easy-to-make snack! We will discuss the benefits of snacking and how to to so in a healthy manner.

Movement Monday

Each monday, tune into our social media for fitness tips and education,  live stretch breaks, and information about our group exercise classes. Take advantage of these resources and add some movement into your daily routine!

Temporary Medical Parking

If you have a temporary injury or illness that makes it difficult to walk a long distance from parking lots, the Wellness Center and Campus Safety offices can provide you with a temporary Medical Parking Permit. These permits are available for eight-week periods, with the possibility of an extension, if needed. To be eligible, you must complete an application, provide a copy of your Driver's License and a note from your doctor indicating your injury/illness.

Tobacco-Free Campus

Delaware County Community College is 100 percent tobacco free. The Tobacco-Free Campus Policy is part of a commitment to create a healthy and sustainable environment for the entire College community. It is intended to eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke, provide an environment supportive of tobacco-free lifestyles and eliminate the environmental impact of cigarette litter. The policy applies to all faculty, staff, students and visitors (including contractors and their employees).
