New Music Concert Series Presents INSCAPE

(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • February 13, 2017)—The chamber orchestra INSCAPE, which has been nominated for a Grammy Award for its unique approach to classical music, will perform at Delaware County Community College on Sunday, February 26. The performance is part of the College’s New Music Concert Series and begins at 3 p.m. in the Large Auditorium of the Academic Building on the Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA).

Experimenting with classical music tradition and technique, INSCAPE defies audiences’ expectations and stretches the boundaries of what classical music means. The program at the College will include pieces by three composers: “Chopin Syndrome” by Nathan Lincoln-DeCusatis, “The Life of Birds” by Mason Bates and “Songs America Loves to Sing” by John Harbison.

Founded in 2004 by Artistic Director Richard Scerbo, INSCAPE has become one of the most sought-after ensembles on the East Coast. The chamber orchestra features a flexible roster of musicians and unpredictable programming. INSCAPE is currently the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Bethesda, Maryland, and regularly performs at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the National Gallery of Art, the Strathmore Music Center, and other local and national venues.

Admission to the performance is $10 and tickets are available online or at the door. ADA Assistive Listening Devices, accessible seating and free parking are available. For more information, visit or contact Caitlin Flaherty, Assistant to the Dean for Arts Programming, at 610-359-5266.
