Registration Check List

Assessment
To place you in the correct classes, the College will assess your current level in Math, Reading and English through a tool called Accuplacer. We highly recommend reviewing the Accuplacer Prep information prior to taking the assessment. Doing so may help you score higher on the assessment, which may lead to you needing fewer courses and spending less money. To review for the assessment, visit Welcome to ACCUPLACER – The College Board.

To test remotely, you will need a computer (desktop or laptop or chromebook) with the latest operating system and a webcam and microphone. Unfortunately, other devices such as cellphones, iPads, Surface (and other tablets), as well as MacBook Air will not work.

Please note that there is also limited in-person, proctored testing at Marple at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily. You will need to make an appointment ahead of time for this option.

Please contact [email protected] or call 610-325-2776 to schedule an in-person or remote testing session.

Transcripts
If you have prior college experience, please have an unofficial copy of your transcript available. We may not be able to complete a full evaluation on the spot; however, we may be able to use your transcript for advising and registration purposes for the day. Please visit dccc.edu/assessment for additional information on ways to determine your placement (e.g., SAT, ACT, AP Exams, etc.)

Paying for College
It is important to have a plan to pay for your courses by the appropriate deadline. Below is some information that explains how you can pay for your classes:

  1. Financial Aid Applying for financial aid will help determine if you are able to get help paying for your classes. Please try to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in advance. Financial aid assistance is available throughout the day. Visit dccc.edu/financialaid for more details.
  2. Payment Plan information The College offers payment plan options.

Mandatory New Student Orientation
Learning what to expect as a college student is important as attending college may be different than anything you have ever experienced before. New students are required to complete online orientation or in-person orientation prior to completion of the registration process. Please visit dccc.edu/orientation for more information.
